Nathan Juriansz began to play the violin at the age of 8. He was awarded the Matthew Stanton Sharman scholarship and the Performing Arts award upon completion of VCE at The University High School. He is currently studying with Dr Curt Thompson, head of strings at the University of Melbourne, and previously with Mark Mogilevski and Mary Johnston.
Nathan is heavily involved in chamber and orchestral playing. He has been featured on 3MBS with Ensemble con Fuoco and was a member of the Melbourne Youth Orchestra from 2011-14, and toured to Christchurch, New Zealand with them in 2014. He has also participated in programs with the Australian Youth Orchestra, Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute (AISOI), and Ironwood. He performs regularly in Melbourne with the University of Melbourne Orchestra, Royal Melbourne Philharmonic, Hopkins Sinfonia, Australian Conservatoire of Ballet Orchestra, and Carols by Candlelight Orchestra.
